Ladd Woodland is a professional creative with experience across multiple design disciplines. Having been involved in his share of creative startups, Mr. Woodland understands the need for quality business and finance support in the early days of a new business or organization. He joined the ABC board for the opportunity to be more involved with the local creative community and help young start-ups grow roots here in Sacramento.
Ed Goldman, Immediate Past President
Ed Goldman is Immediate Past President of the Arts & Business Council of Sacramento, having chaired the group for three years. He’s a daily columnist for theSacramento Business Journal, the author of three books, a playwright, composer, lyricist and painter. He doesn’t sleep much.
Marq Truscott, Vice-President
Quadriga Landscape Architecture and Planning, Inc.
Marq has practiced landscape architecture and planning for over 30 years. He spent several years working in multi-disciplinary firms in Sacramento, San Diego and Los Angeles prior to starting his own office in 1992. He formed Quadriga with his partner’s in1997, and is currently serving as President. A licensed landscape architect in the States of California and Nevada, his recent projects include the renovation of the California Mexican American Veteran’s Memorial, UC Davis Multi-use Stadium, and the Recreation and Wellness Center at CSU Sacramento. In addition to managing Quadriga, he lectures for the Landscape Architecture Program at the University of California, Davis.
Carol Nicknig is the Vice President of Marketing and Communications for the Sacramento Area Commerce and Trade Organization (SACTO). In her role as an economic developer, she is interested in cultivating the region’s creative class and supporting arts organizations that add to the quality of life and are important assets to companies considering locating to the area. Because of her love of the arts and Sacramento, she is personally vested in seeing the region’s art scene continue to thrive.
Edward Inch was named Dean of the College of Arts and Letters at Sacramento State in August of 2011. Inch previously served as Provost at Capital University, Columbus, OH, and Dean of the School of Arts and Communication at Pacific Lutheran University, Tacoma, WA, where he was also a Communication professor specializing in communication and conflict resolution and mediation. In 2006-07, he had a one-year placement as an American Council on Education fellow at Sacramento State.
Kristen Lowrey Larson is a content marketing consultant helping Sacramento-area businesses manage their online presence including Web copywriting, social media management and email marketing. A life-long supporter and participant in the arts, Kristen loves watching live music and attending live theater when she is not boating with her family on one of Sacramento’s many waterways.
Lila Wallrich is an award-winning leader in branding, marketing, advertising and digital media. She co-founded Wallrich Creative Communications in 1990 and remains at the helm today, developing strategic content and overseeing every one of hundreds of projects for such clients in healthcare, clean tech, professional services, manufacturing, government, education and nonprofit sectors.
Katie is a licensed CPA with a background in public accounting and finance and accounting recruitment. She currently serves as Director of Recruitment and Development for GALLINA LLP, a public accounting firm, where she leads the recruitment and training departments of the firm, as well as performing executive searches on behalf of clients.
Katie serves on the Boards of two Sacramento organizations. Her passions include helping businesses grow, art and wine. She has been quoted in a variety of industry publications on topics including engaging young professionals, hiring and developing talent.
Scott is a licensed CPA who specializes in providing audit, tax, accounting, and consulting services to small- and medium-sized privately-held companies, contractors and nonprofit businesses. After graduating from U.C. Berkeley, Scott worked in the nonprofit sector for several years before returning to school to earn his Master of Science degree in Accountancy. Scott is a co-chairman of CalCPA’s nonprofit committee and serves on the boards of two Sacramento-region nonprofit organizations. His passions are writing and recording music, and spending time with his wife and their two dogs.
